Amber Howard, LMT, CYI

I am a Mount Desert Island, Maine native, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instructor, artist and travel enthusiast. Now I enjoy living and working in Bar Harbor, Maine just outside Acadia National Park, one of Maine’s busiest tourist destinations, with 2.6+ million visitors annually.

As a massage therapist I specialize in therapeutic massage therapy sessions focusing on stress/pain reduction and injury prevention/rehabilitation. In addition to my advanced training in rehabilitative massage techniques, my training in substance abuse, PTSD and domestic violence allows me to work comfortably with various populations deserving special care and accommodations. My yoga practice is Hatha based and focuses on posture and balancing strength and flexibility in the body.

In addition to yoga, I love to hike and paddle. In the winter months I enjoy snowboarding in Maine’s western mountains or scuba diving in warm-water destinations. In my free time I enjoy exploring Acadia National Park and painting the surprising, the striking and the exquisite places that I visit.

My art is based around creating paintings and products for nature lovers who enjoy styling their lives with their adventures. My art can be seen and purchased locally in Bar Harbor, Maine, or online for those located around the world.
